Dormant Spray Schedule for Fruit Trees and Roses

• Spray apples with Sevin 6 tbs per gallon of water when all of the flower petals drop and again after 4 weeks to combat codling moths.

• Use Liqui-Cop at pink bud and again at full bud swell to control Brown Rot. Not after full bloom. 2 tbs per gallon
• Never use sulphur sprays on apricots.

• Use Liqui-Cop at pink bud and again at full bloom to control Shot Hole fungus and Brown Rot. 2 tbs per gallon

Nectarine and peach***

• Use Liqui-Cop at bud swell and again at pink bud to control Brown Rot. 2 tbs per gallon

• Spray pears with Sevin 6 tbs per gallon of water when all of the flower petals drop and again after 4 weeks to combat codling moths.

*Master Nursery Pest-Fighter Year-Round Spray Oil
** The Dormant Spray for most deciduous tree and shrubs is to mix 8 tbs of Year Round Spray Oil with 2 tbs of Liqui-Cop in one gallon of water. Spray this mixture thoroughly over the entire plant
***Peaches and Nectarines should be sprayed three times for Leaf Curl. Once each at the beginning of the 3 months listed.

Plum and Prune

• Use Liqui-Cop at pink bud and again at full bud swell to control Shot Hole Fungus and Brown Rot. 2 tbs per gallon of water

• Use Pheromone traps for Codling Moth and Walnut Husk Fly or same treatment as for apple and pear.

• Spray or dust with Sulphur at 2 week intervals April through August to control mildew.

Dormant sprays need to be applied only once during these three months, except for peaches and nectarines.

Spray when there is no chance of rain for 24 hours after spraying. This dry period helps to maximize the sprays' disease and insect control.
